Speyside week-end
In the end, only one Stag made it to Inverness from Aberdeen.
Despite an initial wave of enthusiasm, cars gradually dropped out for reasons
of ill-health (the car) or work commitments (the owner). Luckily my car, which has a dodgy head gasket,
made it to Inverness in time to see the front runners go past at about 7am. Then 5 mins later, Nick,
Ray & Andy turned up in DUY 736S in good shape but apparently happpy to have an unscheduled 10min stop.

They had had an event-free trip so far and the car sounded very nice as they drove in. We had a quick chat and I handed over a donation to the good cause from the lads in Aberdeen, and then they were off, raring for the next 1300 miles, or so!
I then sat and watched the rest of the pack go past as I waited for my car to cool enough to check the radiator. A bit later on, a GT6 pulled in with a unhealthy appetite for fan belts. After a quick chat and a radiator top up, they too were gone.
Good news when I checked my radiator, water level was down only 1/2 inch from the filler top, so roof down and Pink Floyd on &
I had a great (care-free) drive back to Inverurie.
Note that there was not much traffic around at 5am but it was very dark!
On the A9, I waved to the last? TR2, and then had a beautiful run home via Craigellachie, with the wind behind me.

Another great day out organised by Duncan Leece and Co at Elgin. Started off in Gordonstoun School grounds with
slight confusion since the heavy rain earlier in the week kept all the cars off the grass. Then a nice drive to
lunch at The Mansion House Hotel, Elgin, and on to Brodie Castle for public display. A fantastic collection of 200
quality vintage cars unsurpassed in Scotland! Pride of place went to the 1910 15HP Daimler in immaculate condition.
Luckily the rain kept off until around 3:30.

Does anyone have any more pics?
Triumph Day at Alford 2002
A fine pair outside the museum gates!
Westhill saw a turnout of 7 Stags, 1 Spitfire and a 1953? Anglia in tip-top condition.
Here is the lineup
in the school carpark. (Alan turned up later on with his)
Prior to that, we had a photo opportunity at Neil's house with his
excellent custom made Stag logo!
If you look carefully, you can see his wife waving from the window!
If you can't make her out, check this!
Charity run 2000
In 2000 there was a charity run from Tamworth (Birmingham) to John O'Groats.
Steve Tween & Peter Wilson came up via Loch Ness and some of us met up with them in Inverness.
The photo
shows (left to right):
Alan Smith, Steve Tween, Iain Gunn & Peter Wilson in front of the Tamworth Stag, Iain's and John Wreford's.
Alan was visiting relatives at the time and was not keen to display the Sierra!
John accompanied the Birmingham duo on an open-top blast up to John O'Groats, and got there around 10pm.
Slight problem finding somewhere to stay in Wick but a taxi-driver came up trumps in the end.
Bit of a damp start on the way home but after 1/2hr the sun was out again.
John parted company with the lads just south of Inverness, with one last snap
for old times sake!
